I also expected the microphone to actually have better noise reduction but it still picks up my mouse clicks. Using the SteelSeries Certified output for my Discord made voices sound really muddy compared to using the Default output (which I believe is the one tinkered with APO Equalizer) I have come to a satisfying settings with the APO but I thought that at this price range, it could’ve been better. I had to uninstall SSE and use Peace APO Equalizer to tinker the sound to my liking. It sounded better but it still sounded muffled, especially with Discord. I compared both my HyperX Cloud Stinger and the Arctis 5 and the former sounded clearer and roomier / more atmospheric.īecause these pair of cans costed me twice as much as the Stinger, I tried to make-do using the SSE equalizer. ![]() I have lurked this subreddit to find mixed feedback regarding the Arctis lineup, from people claiming it to be the best headsets they’ve ever owned to people also having the same issue as mine. ![]() Did I install something wrong or is it really this bad? Tinkering with the SSE Equalizer made it better but still worse than my last headset. However, after plugging the USB to my PC to test some few games (such as Rainbow Six Siege), it sounded really muddy / muffled as if my ears were clogged or something. I tried plugging it to my phone to test sounds and it sounded OK (not really mindblowing). Hello! After getting annoyed by the peeling pleather of my HyperX Cloud Stinger, I have decided to get an Arctis 5 to be my main headset because it’s velour and comfort was said to be good (which I am satisfied).
